Law of Attraction

Law of Attraction and What can be Gained

The SheepThe law of attraction claims that positive thinking can create life-changing results such as increased wealth, health, and happiness by a magnetic power emitted through one’s thoughts. The law of attraction portrays the power of thoughts are like a transmission tower sending out a frequency to the universe and then this same frequency returns in a physical or elemental form. This creative process sometimes is based on a quote from the Bible: “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22) The law of attraction is a poor portrayal of this scripture because it leaves Jesus out of the picture and expounds on believing in yourself without needing faith in God. The scriptures show that Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, and without Him you can do nothing. (Hebrews 12:2, John 15:5)
When we ask a prayer, believing we shall receive, we must also add the faith of God which is Jesus. (Mark 11:22-24) With Jesus as the author of our faith there is no law of attraction needed, no energy from thoughts needed and no energy emitted from magnetic power to bring what is asked for in prayer. You simply believe you will receive based upon the finished works of Jesus and the true God of heaven and Earth does the works Himself. The attraction that is truly needed to bring these things into manifestation is to know that Jesus is the reason we receive anything and know God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20) Through Jesus, everything you need is already yours. It has been given to you by grace and all you need to do is grow in your attraction to God’s word and understand how it is yours to receive through God’s word because of Jesus.

have_attractionMiracles through Jesus or the Law of Attraction?

law of attractionJohn 14:10 says:
Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

Jesus did the works by His Father, not by the law of attraction. Jesus claimed the Father living in Him through the Holy Spirit did the miracles. (John 5:17-19, John 14:10) When Jesus spoke He only spoke the words He heard His Father speak. (John 14:24) When Jesus did miracles, it was His Father doing them through the Holy Spirit in Him. He never claimed to produce anything by thinking positively about it or through a law of attraction.

to Gods WordThe Angels Do God’s Word without a Law of Attraction

Psalms 103:20
“Bless the Lord, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.”

John 14:12
“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

When a Christian speaks God inspired words from the Bible, angels hearken unto God’s word and make it happen. We received the Holy Spirit through Jesus and the Father does the same miracles by the Holy Spirit through us as He did through Jesus so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. (John 14:13) We are in Christ Jesus and He in us, making Jesus the reason any good thing happens in our lives.  1 John 4:17 says: “…as Jesus is so are we in this world”.

We receive all the blessings of God because of the free gift of the Righteousness of Jesus that we have been given when we accept Jesus as our savior. The law of attraction claims to bring wealth, health, and happiness another way. John 10:1 says: “He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.” Don’t let a thief steal the truths of God’s word by changing believing in Jesus into believing in the law of attraction. The devil will try to draw people away using attraction from God’s truths and lead them into confusion. (Ephesians 6:11, 1 Corinthians 14:33)

Romans 5:5 says: And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Beloved, let your attraction be centered on God’s Word, take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart; Psalm 37:4.
