The mind is a powerful reproductive organ according to 1 Peter 1:13 and we need to prepare our minds wisely to produce thoughts to our benefit. God has put into motion a plan for oncoming action’s of grace brought to us by correct thoughts of the revelation of Jesus the Messiah. The mind can reproduce the thoughts we are having and turn them into good or bad realities. The best way to gird up the loins of your mind is with a fresh revelation of Jesus Christ, especially knowledge that relates to any current situation you may be facing. When we have the revelation knowledge of what Jesus wants to do for us, our thoughts can expect the solution to the problem to be brought by God’s Grace.
Mind Loin Thoughts
Who ever heard of mind loins? Our loins are where our reproductive organs are. Since people can reproduce with reproductive loins, then the loins of our mind can reproduce the thoughts we are thinking. We need to gird up our thoughts in agreement with the purposes that God sent Jesus to establish in our lives. We have been redeemed from the curse that Adam caused, even though everything we see around us still suffers from the effects of the curse. We can think inline with what we see the curse brought or we can think inline with Gods word which changes our perception and realities. By thinking about God’s promises we reproduce thoughts of what Jesus has acquired for us by giving us the gift of His righteousness.
How To Gird Up Your Thoughts
Philippians 4:8 (Message Bible)
Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.
We cant really control thoughts which are triggered by many scenarios but we can train our mind about the things God says about us in His Word. Then, when a thought comes that is inappropriate or different than what God says, we think on the things that we know God wants for us instead. Beloved, the best thoughts to nurture are focused on what you find God says about you in His word to receive abundance of His grace.
