Hebrews 11:6 He Who Comes To God Must Believe

What We Believe About God Counts

Hebrews 11:6
6But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

When we believe that God is who He says He is, and that He rewards us for finding out who He says He is, then we have pleased God. Throughout the Bible we see how God has rewarded His people. God told Abraham the he would be the father of many nations. We see that God continually blessed all of Abraham’s descendants. When Ruth the Moabitess decided to make Him her God; He took care of her, guided her and redeemed her from hopeless situations. As the multitudes sought Jesus they were cared for when they became hungry. Jesus fed 5000 people with a few fishes and loaves of bread. As we see what God did throughout the Bible we can believe that God loves us and will do the same for us. Then we are pleasing Him and He said He would reward us.

God Involved In Your Life

When you make time to find out how much God loves you, He becomes involved in your life and begins to reward you. You may take up a hobby and see that you begin to excel in that hobby. At work you may find that things are going smoother than before and your accomplishments begin to excel. Peter, the fisherman, would testify to that. His fishing boat, which represented his life, caught nothing the whole night. But in the morning, when the boat was returned to him after he had loaned it to Jesus, it was no longer the same boat. It was anointed, blessed and so magnetized that a great number of fish was attracted to it. In fact, he received a net-breaking, boat-sinking load of fish! (Luke 5:1–11)

To Seek God Is Faith

When reading Hebrews 11:6 “without faith it is impossible to please God,” in the past I have misunderstood that scripture and said to myself: ” I don’t have enough faith, I am not pleasing God.” But the same verse continues and says if you believe that God is real, and want to find out more about God, that is considered faith and God is pleased and will reward you. The little boy who gave his food to Jesus, must have believed this about Jesus. He brought his five barley loaves and two fish to Jesus and must have been very excited to see the supernatural increase Godwhich blessed not only him, but also 5000 people. He simply took to Jesus what he had believing it might be of some use, and believing Jesus was who He said He was. We can do the same by coming to Jesus just like we are, knowing that He is God and wants to bless us in the same way He blessed everyone that came to Him throughout the Bible.

Beloved, believe that God is rewarding you as you seek to know more about Him. As you begin to seek Him He will bless and reward you supernaturally in ways that you could not have had without Him. Your abilities, your finances, your entire life will be blessed.
