Hebrews 10:12 Jesus Perfected Us Forever

Our Sins Are Gone By Final Sacrifice Of Jesus

Hebrews 10:12, 14, KJV
12But this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God… 14For by one offering He hath perfected forever them that are sanctified

Under the Old Covenant every priest goes to work at the altar each day, offers the same old sacrifices year in, year out, and never makes a dent in the sin problem. As a priest, Christ made a single sacrifice for sins, and that was it! Then he sat down right beside God and waited for his enemies to cave in. It was a perfect sacrifice by a perfect person to perfect some very imperfect people. By that single offering, he did everything that needed to be done for everyone who takes part in the purifying process. The Holy Spirit confirms this: This new plan I’m making with Israel isn’t going to be written on paper, isn’t going to be chiseled in stone; This time “I’m writing out the plan in them, carving it on the lining of their hearts.”
He concludes, I’ll forever wipe the slate clean of their sins. Once sins are taken care of for good, there’s no longer any need to offer sacrifices for them. (Hebrews 10:12-14 MSG)

Jesus Made Perfection Available

Don’t doubt your perfection in Jesus. God see’s you with no flaw, spot or imperfection, so honor His word by getting into agreement with what God is saying. I am not saying you don’t have faults and sins luring you, I am saying that God has made a way for you to be perfected thru Jesus. It honor’s God for you to see yourself perfected by the ultimate sacrifice that He made for you, by sending Jesus to take your sins upon Himself. This removed the sins from God’s vision, now when He see you, God see’s the righteousness of Jesus on you that was gifted to you, not sin.

Should We Continue To Sin because Jesus set us free?

Don’t become legalistic with views of can we keep sinning or not. These legalistic views will cause Old Covenant laws to resurrect in your life and push grace aside. The person who accepts the ways of Old Covenant Law trades all the advantages of the free life in Christ for the obligations of the slave life of the law. The sins people committed under the Old Covenant Law were washed away year after year by the blood of animal sacrifices. Jesus washed away all sins forever by His sacrifice. As we continually learn about how much Jesus loved us, His love will begin to grow in our heart, pushing sinful ways out of our lives.

If you see people living a life of sin willfully, and claiming they are saved by grace, there is a good chance they have never been truly born again. When a person is truly “Born Again” we are told sin shall not dominate them. (Romans 6:14) If they fall into a sinful act they will Jesuscome back and not continue in that sin but overcome it through Jesus. The point is if you do sin after you become a Christin, don’t let that sin become a self condemnation in your heart.

Beloved, when you find yourself conscious of your sins, just say, “Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your wonderful work at the cross. It is a perfect work that has removed all my sins completely. Thank you Holy Spirit for convicting me of righteousness, not my own, but the righteousness given to me as a gift. Holy Spirit please keep convicting me and reminding me that when I fail, I am still the righteousness of God in Christ.”

As this gift of righteousness begins to take hold of your life you will find yourself led astray less and less each day.
