Estabilshed by Grace (Hebrews 13:9)

Heart Mode of Grace

Hebrews 13:9
9… it is good that the heart be established by grace…

We gain confidence when we work at things and make accomplishments. We gain more confidence as we begin to excel in something. As a Christian, there is a way to build your confidence and increase the way you excel in everything you do. If we recognize what the bible says about our accomplishments it can change our outlook on how well we can do in the future. The Bible tells us that without Jesus we can do nothing, and that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. (Philippians 4:13, John 15:4-6) As we give credit to Jesus for helping us reach the goal for our accomplishments, we gain confidence in His strength in us and then we begin to see ourselves grace powered, excelling beyond our abilities. By giving the credit for everything we do to God we keep our hearts established with grace and see the true strength of the Lord working in us. This way, for everything we accomplish, we have our heart established in the grace mode.

Ability to Obey by Grace

When we think of our past sins, we have placed our thoughts into an area that the Bible calls dead works. (Hebrews 6:1-3) But when we establish our minds on God’s grace, that has forgiven us of all these past dead sin events, we can become free from what hinders us from excelling the way God intends for us to excel. When you keep your eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus, saying to yourself “I’m off and running and I’m not turning back” you are establishing your heart in God’s grace. (Philippians 3:11-13) God wants your heart established, knowing that His righteousness, gracehealing, protection and prosperity are yours — all paid for by Jesus’ finished work at the cross. God’s blessings are sure in your life because they are not dependent on your ability to keep His laws, but Jesus’ perfect obedience and His proven abilities. This establishes your heart in grace and keeps you unhindered from excelling in everything you work to achieve.

Blessings are yours by Grace

When we establish our hearts in God’s grace, we remove ourselves from the legal system of the old covenant and into the liberty of blessings of the new covenant. Paul says in Romans chapter 8 that deliverance came through Jesus, with no condemnation for those in Christ, who don’t try to live by God’s long-standing legal system.(Romans 8:1) Always try to keep company with people who help increase the flow of God’s grace in your life, and are removed from the retired legal system of the old covenant. This will build assurance that you are walking in grace power mode to excel as God empowers you, supporting you with His grace.

Beloved, let your heart be established by His abilities working through you. By doing so your heart is established in His grace. This gives you a firm standing on the promises made in God’s word, to receive by God’s grace.
