How to Have Gods Best in Our Life

Everyone has experienced bad things they wished they had not gone through. These experiences form a structure in our mind called a stronghold. These bad experiences are not God’s best for us, but the stronghold of the experience keeps making excuses trying to keep the structural foundation that was formed in our mind. When we read the Bible in psalm 91, psalm 23 and many other scriptures we see that what we went through is not Gods best or His desire for our lives. So how do we change this stronghold into a new experience of Gods best in our lives?

1 John 5:14 says: this is the confidence that we have in Him….
To have Gods best in our lives we have to have confidence that God wishes His best for us and that it is His will to do His best for us, especially in a time of dire need. The above scripture tells us that this is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us–whatever we ask–we know that we have what we asked of him. When the psalmist wrote Psalm 91 he started it out with: “I will say of the Lord…” and a few verses later he said “Surly He shall…” So to have this confidence we need to speak God’s Word into our life and not the negative circumstances that have happened or that could happen. When we speak Gods Word then we are speaking Gods thoughts and desires and planting those seeds with confidence that surely He shall bring them to pass in our life.

Our Words Bring God’s Best

Mark 4:14 says: The sower sows the word.

Our words are created in the mind first before they come out of our mouth. When we speak our thoughts we are sowing words. Negative thoughts produce negative outcomes and positive thoughts produce positive outcomes when spoken. That is why we are told in Philippians 4:8 to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of a good report. Proverbs 23:7 says: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. The thought does not have to produce words. Jesus said in Mathew 6:31: “take no thought saying”; so we don’t have to speak those thoughts. We don’t have to mention any longer the things that happened or might happen in our life that were not God’s best for us and are not a good report. We are told in Philippians 4:8 to think about something else…

Beloved, find God’s will for your life by finding His best for you in the Bible and speak what God wants you to have instead of negative thoughts or bad things that happened to you. In this manner you are sowing the truths that brings a harvest of God’s Best in your life.
