Romans 6:16-19 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
What can be more positive than what Romans 8:31 says: “God is for you and who can be against you”? Romans 6:16 tells us how nothing can come against us because God is for us. Sin, satan, sickness and poverty all came from the fall of man and the curse and they no longer have dominion over us. You can read Romans 6:16 like this: For sin, satan, sickness, poverty shall no longer be your master or have dominion over you, for you are not under the law demands of the “Thou Shall Not Law” but under the unmerited favor of the Grace of God where “God says: I Will bless you with supply and cause you to defeat satan, sickness and poverty” because you are under Grace.
Why is it that satan, sickness and poverty shall not have dominion over you? Because under law things were demanded of you but under grace what was demanded of you has been supplied for you by Jesus’s Righteousness. Law is demand and Grace is supply. That is why we should seek first the kingdom of God and His Righteousness completing and encompassing all these things being added unto us. (Matthew 6:33)
Romans 6:17-19: “So what now? Should we sin since we are not under Law but under grace? No, by no means! Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey–whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness.”
How do we become slaves to His Righteousness? By God’s word feeding us everyday building our faith. As our faith is built by feeding on God’s Word Romans 4:16 tells us that the faith activates God’s Grace and the blessings of Abraham come upon us.
