God’s Glory Jesus Restored Us To
John 17:22
22And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
When God made man, the Bible says that God crowned him with Glory and Honor.(Psalm 8:5) Because Adam and Eve had sinned, they hid themselves from God, knowing they could no longer stand in His presence. But God wanted His children to be restored back to righteousness and to God’s Glory, so He had to make a way for this to happen, and the way was made through Jesus.
Know About God’s Glory
As believers, it is important that we know about God’s glory—the manifested presence of God. Once you understand it, you will want it to manifest in you, in your church, and in everything you do. But what exactly is the glory of God? Doxa, the Greek word for “glory” here, means having a good opinion concerning someone resulting in praise, honor, and glory. This means that in restoring to us His glory, God wants us to have the sense that we are praiseworthy, honorable and glorious because of His constant good opinion of us and His presence in us!
God’s Glory Manifested in the Believer
Notice 2 Corinthians 6:16, “…for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, ‘I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.’ ” God’s Glory has been placed into man, and through salvation, the authority that Adam lost has been restored unto us. We can rule and reign, just like Adam did before he sinned. When Jesus came to earth, He was the manifested presence of God (1 John 1:2), and He came so that the earthly vessels we live in could house the very presence of God. When people receive salvation by calling on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glory of God, the very presence of God, comes into them and through their lives God’s Glory shines forth from them.
Beloved, because God’s Glory is upon you, people can tell that there is something different about you. They sense there is something in your life that impacts them for good. Because God’s Glory is on you, begin to expect every aspect of your life to prosper and glow with God’s Glory. Be conscious of God’s Glory shining forth thru your health, your finances, your work, your relationships and every thing you do, give Glory to God as His Glory is in you.
