Was It God’s Will?
James 4:3
You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. (ESV)
Jesus Is God’s Will
Jesus said, “I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him. You’ve even seen him!” (John 14:7 MSG)
We know that Jesus was sent from God so that we could all be saved. It is important to get the definition of the word saved nailed down. The best way to know what saved of the Bible means is to ask yourself: “What do I need to be delivered from?” To be saved is physical and moral rescue. It includes anything and everything in life, not just life here, but life forever. It is God’s will, having sent Jesus, to save us the moment we are born again from every physical, spiritual, emotional and moral problem we may be facing now or in the future. We are no longer in bondage to satan and sin, we are set free and have been MADE the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
God’s Will is Actively Participating in Your Life
And God is able to make all grace abound unto you; that you, having always all sufficiency in everything, may abound unto every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)
The word able in the Greek is more than just being able; it is actively participating “right now” in making His grace ABOUND TOWARDS YOU.
God’s abounding, undeserved favor is constantly surrounding you and empowering you to succeed in every area of life. Beloved, the Lord’s super-abounding grace is right now healing, delivering, and supplying to you—exceedingly, abundantly above all you can ask or think! Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) So, believe today, whatever your need may be, it is God’s will to meet that need and His grace is abounding towards you to do just that!
