Be Anxious For Nothing In Prayer
Philippians 4:6-7
6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
The past is past and we have much to be thankful for. When we voice our prayer, we need to remember the blessings of the past, and allow those thoughts to lift our hearts in praise, as we voice our prayers to God. If you have things in your past that are bothering you, it is important to fully let go and let God heal those hurts. As the Apostle Paul said; “no one who keeps looking back and dwelling on their past is fit for the kingdom of God.” So do as Paul says to become fit for the kingdom; “Forget those things which are now behind us and move on and press forward into those things which now lie ahead of us.” That is why it is so important to have thanksgiving when you pray. This brings God’s peace into your life and helps you to think thoughts purely inspired by God thru the Holy Spirit. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
Prayer From Victory Not For Victory
When you have been waiting for God’s Promise to manifest, you are experiencing Hebrews 11:1 which says “not yet seen”, with substance hoped for coming soon. When you depend on God’s promises thru faith, and your prayer is based on trusting God’s Grace, then you will see the answer to your faith. You wont need to pray for victory you will see yourself victorious thru Jesus with His strength as your strength. You will begin to see His word as already manifested in your life, as you speak forth His promises and blessings.
Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse……… Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies. (Philippians 4:8-9 MSG)
Prayer Content Whatever the Circumstances
Jesus said: “I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.” Mark 11:24 NLT)
Who can argue with Jesus? He is the one that said this will work for you… With this in mind be not anxious for the answers to you prayer. When circumstances are trying to drown you in sorrow, lift your heart to God in Thanksgiving praising Him for His wonderful works in your life and the lives of others. I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I’m just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. (Philippians 4:13 MSG) Being content is not the formula for accepting defeat, it is a method of trusting in God to bring to pass the answer to your prayer.
Beloved, I believe that we would all worry a lot less and enjoy our lives a lot more if only we realized this truth: Our Abba Father is so strong that there is nothing He cannot do, and He is so loving that there is nothing He will not do for us! His Grace is abounding towards you right now to help you in all that you need or do.
