Peace Of God Helping Us
Romans 5:1
1Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
God has given us a special, supernatural peace to abide with us. It is only a peace that can be given by God and it is beyond our understanding. Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. (Philippians 4:6-7 MSG) We are not trying to get peace with God. We already have peace with God, having been justified by faith through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Put Your Mind At Peace
When you have thoughts racing thru your mind trying to disturb you into believing that some tragedy is going to overtake you or someone you love. It is good to know that God is for you and not against you. So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture…. None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. (Romans 8:31-39 MSG)
Remind Yourself Of Gods Peace With You
I continually remind myself that God is communicating loving feelings toward me all the time. Knowing this is the case I remind myself that God is helping me in all my outward circumstances. That is when you find what would normally cause care and anxiety will no longer be the case. When Jesus, the Prince of Peace, is our peace, we can believe that not only will everything turn out well but we will be blessed in all situation’s in the long-run.
Beloved, because Jesus is your peace you are blessed in many ways. Your health will prosper. Your finances will prosper. Your loved ones will be taken care of. Your relationships will flourish. You will enjoy the favor of God. All because you have the Prince of Peace!
