Rain Blessings
Deuteronomy 28:12
12The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
When God created the Earth He saw that all He had created was good. His intentions from the beginning were always good. (Genesis 1:31) When God opens the windows of heaven to bless the works of your hands, it is because He always has good intentions.
Isaiah 30:23-25 MSG says: “God will provide rain for the seeds you sow. The grain that grows will be abundant. Your cattle will range far and wide. Oblivious to war and earthquake, the oxen and donkeys you use for hauling and plowing will be fed well near running brooks that flow freely from mountains and hills.”
God’s Blessings
When Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins, we in turn took what He deserved instead of what we deserved. Jesus had everything taken from Him that we might have everything given to us. When Jesus said He thirst, it was so we could partake of living waters and never thirst again. On the cross, when Jesus gave His mother to John and said now she was John’s mother, Jesus lost His family that we might gain His family, and now we are of the family of God. (John 19:25) In God’s goodness, his wonderful plan for His people was to give us blessings and eliminate curses. All of God’s Blessings that Jesus deserved, we receive by our faith in the sacrifice Jesus made for us.
I can bear witness to these Blessings raining down on me in my life. I am posting one testimony about how God blessed me with an Axis Deer, on a special hunt I went on right before dark. If you would like to read some of the other testimonies please click HERE.
Let it Rain Blessings
When it begins to rain outside, everything outside gets wet with the rain falling down upon it. The same thing happens when God opens the windows of heaven so that His blessings fall upon us, everything becomes blessed in it own time and own way.
When Peter launched out into the deep, and let down his nets at Jesus bidding, there were so many fish that came into the nets that it was beginning to break the nets. Peter was so humbled that he came back to the shore and fell down at the feet of Jesus. This is an example of how God wants to bless us, more than we can think, hope or ask and to a point of humbling our hearts with joy. (Ephesians 3:20)
Beloved, trust in the exchange of the finished works of Jesus. Believe that the Lord will cause the windows of heaven to open and rain blessings upon you. See yourself outside in His rain, under windows of heaven. By believing everything gets wet with His blessings thru Jesus, you will see the good intentions God has for you.
