God’s Word As Our Inheritance

Romans 8:28
28And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

When something bad comes along our first response is to feel the pressure and disappointment. But, for God‘s people His Word promises us that all things for us will work to our good. This literally means all things; the good, the bad and the really bad. It does not mean that all these things are sent from God to test us or prove us. There are things that are not from God like accidents, sickness, etc… But as we claim God’s word as our inheritance this promise says all the things good or bad will work together for good to those who love God and are called to His purposes.

Yoked With God Is The “Much Better Way”

We all have disappointments from  friends, relatives and co-workers from time to time. Sometimes we let those disappointments become our main focal point. Then we begin to feel the pressure and stress of the situation in our lives. What we actually are doing is yoking our-self to the problem instead of the solution. Jesus said: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” To have a joyful life, we need to find the solution to the problems and disappointments that may come. This solution is always found by UN-yoking from the problem and yoking to Jesus. His way is the easy way with much less burden.

Seek the Kingdom Of God First

We are told in Matthew 6:33 to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. When we want to see all things in our life working together for good then we must learn to seek God’s Kingdom in the midst of all things in our life, good and bad. We must realize by seeking God’s Kingdom, and learning about His gift of Righteousness, this is how we are able to yoke ourselves to Jesus and UN-yoke ourselves from the problems we are facing. It is important to remember that God is not behind anything bad or ugly in our lives and that God provided Jesus as the solution.

Beloved, because you have been “Born Again” you can expect that all things in your life, good and bad, will work together for your good as you seek the solution God has provided for you in Jesus. This is the inheritance of the children of God.
