Joint Heir Supply (Philippians 4:19)

Gods Joint Heir Endless Supply

Philippians 4:19
19And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

We are a joint heir of God’s love. Have you thought of how much God loved the world that He would send His only begotten Son to save the world? In a world whose sins are scarlet red, God sends His son as the supply for meeting the debt requirement for sins; that is amazing grace. Since God so loves the world that He would send His Son, should those who accept this gift of love think that God would do less in meeting their other needs from His endless resources? God created everything and is well able to bring positive circumstance and chance together in favor of His people, at the right time and place. It should be no surprise that God shall supply all your need, not just out of His riches as if He was just going to pay a bill for you. But “according to” His riches we have become His children and a joint heir with Jesus. (Romans 8:16-18)

The Supply of a Joint Heir

When a joint heir or beneficiary inherits a fortune that was left to them in a will, it is common to expect they can live lavishly “according to” the supply they were just given. If they were told from the will that they will only receive an amount needed to pay a small debt for them, then their expectations will be saddened and they know the chances of them receiving more can be disappointing. If the will would have named them as a joint heir, then they would have great expectations again that they can live lavishly out of the joint heirsupply they were just given that they will share with someone else.

In Christ’s family there can be no division into Jew and non-Jew, slave and free, male and female. Among us you are all equal. That is, we are all in a common relationship with Jesus Christ. Also, since you are Christ’s family, then you are Abraham’s famous “descendant,” heirs according to the covenant promises. (Galatians 3:27-29)

Gods Supply for You as His Joint Heir

When an heir receives notice of a will as an heir, wouldn’t they have assurance they are going to inherit something? As a “Born Again” Christian we have the assurance from the same thing. We have Gods word given to us so we can know our inheritance is sure and steadfast. We follow the example of those who are given notice they are going to inherit something. We are noticed that we are inheriting God’s promises because of our faith in Jesus and His righteousness. According to the instructions we have been given in God’s word we are a joint heir to receive all of God’s provision. The blessings of Abraham were promised to the people of God. By faith in Jesus, we can see that Abraham’s blessing is present and available for non-Jews, too. We are all able to receive God’s life, his Spirit, in and with us by believing—just the way Abraham received it as abundant supply on this earth.

Beloved, we are joint heirs of God thru our faith in Jesus. He was sent, as not only our supply to pay our sin debt, but as a supply for all of our needs. By His gift of righteousness to us, we are made a joint heir with Jesus, and given the opportunity to receive the abundant blessings of Abraham by faith. So speak what Gods word says about your supply that has been provided for you. Claim your joint heir status and God shall meet all your needs “according to” His riches in glory by Christ Jesus’ endless supply.
