Job 42:10 God Restored to Job’s and then doubled it!

The God Restored Way

Job 42:10
After Job had interceded for his friends, God restored his fortune—and then doubled it! All his brothers and sisters and friends came to his house and celebrated.

I am sure you have heard the expression: “every cloud has a silver lining” and after Job went through a dark cloud of sorrow and disappointment God began to show him the silver lining. After all, the Bible says that God works all things together for your good. (Romans 8:28) If you have suffered loss know that the silver lining can come to you, as God restored to Job believe He will for you.

Know God Restored Before and Will Again

When Job had lost everything, his wife told him to curse God and die. He refused and, instead, responded to God in faith, and “the Lord gave to Job twice as much as he had before”. God blessed Job’s later life even more than his earlier life. He ended up with fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand teams of oxen, and one thousand donkeys. He also had seven sons and three daughters. He named the first daughter Dove, the second, Cinnamon, and the third, Darkeyes. There was not a woman in that country as beautiful as Job’s daughters. (Job 42:10-15)

When David lost the child he had with Bathsheba, he stopped pleading and started worshiping God because he trusted in the mercies of God. Later, God blessed David and Bathsheba with another son named Solomon, who became the wisest and richest king the world has ever known.

For You God Restored

It is God’s desire to restore everything to you. The devil is only seeking a way to steal and kill and destroy. Jesus came so that you can have real and eternal life, and a more and better earthly life than you ever dreamed of. (John 10:10) Today God says to you “Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.” Zechariah 9:12 If He declared it, trust in Him to do it! So, you can have hope that things will be even better than before. That is why in the same verse, He calls you “prisoners of hope”. In this manner, you can have a positive expectation of good to come your way. Believe you are a prisoner of the good that God is sending to you. Change your sorrow to joy and your mourning to laughter (Psalm 30:11, Esther 9:22)

Beloved, if trouble comes your way, see that trouble as an opportunity for God to bless you with more than what you originally had. See God going before you preparing the way for His storehouse of blessings to come to you because God has declared it, as God restored to others be confident He will also do the same for you!
